Permissions & Data Safety

This page explains the device permissions the ALGOZ OPS app requests and why, and summarises the data disclosures that correspond to the Apple App Store privacy details and the Google Play Data safety section.

Prominent disclosure. ALGOZ OPS collects location data to enable live operational oversight, distance and bearing tools, geofence and rally alerts, and SOS and welfare safety features, even when the app is closed or not in use, while an operative is on duty and has location sharing enabled. Location is shared only with authorised members of the operative’s own company. It is never sold and never used for advertising.

Permissions we request

Permission	Why	When
Location (foreground and background)	Show the operative on the live map, compute distance and bearing to key points, raise geofence and rally alerts, and support SOS and welfare checks. Camera and photos	Attach photographs to map pins and after action debriefs, and upload operation documents.	Only when you add a photo or file.

Storage / files	Select and upload images and documents.	When you attach a file.

You can change permissions at any time in your device settings. Turning off location stops location sharing and the features that depend on it.

Data is encrypted in transit.
We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising or cross app tracking.
